The Prophet Ibrahim (As) decided to migrate from Egypt with his wife Hajar and nephew Lut (As) to a city called Ur.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim (As) and Hajar were still childless and traveling through the desert.
Ibrahim (As) was increasingly worried about the thought that his lineage would end with him.
The Quran reveals the exact dua made by Ibrahim (as).
 
"Rabbi hab lee minas saaliheen." 
Meaning "My lord! grant me [a child] from the righteous". 
He continued to make duas and eventually Allah (SWT) gave the couple their first son.
To express their gratitude, they named their first son "Ishmael" , which means "God hears" or "God has heard."
Reading the prophetic duas of the Quran, it may seem as if things happened to them instantly.
This is not true. We often forget the context, but Ibrahim (As) continued to make dua, and only in his old age did Allah answer this call.
